Jersey Movie Summery
Jersey is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language sports drama film written and directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. It is a remake of the Telugu sports drama film of the same title, starring Nani and Shraddha Srinath. The film is produced by Geetha Arts, Dil Raju Production, Sithara Entertainments and Brat Films. It stars Shahid Kapoor as a former cricketer who returns to the game for his son's wish of a Jersey, alongside Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor.
Jersey Movie Story
Jersey is the story of a father and son loving each other. In this, Shahid plays the role of Arjun Talwar, who was a star batsman. Arjun Talwar decides to leave his top career in cricket at the age of 26 due to lack of selection in the Indian team. After this, he steps into the government sector and gets a job, but due to false allegations of corruption, he loses his job. Now all the responsibility of the house is on Vidya, who works as a receptionist in a hotel. After this begins the period of Arjuna's struggle. The turning point in his life comes when his son asks for a jersey of Rs 500 on his birthday and they are unable to get him this jersey. What was after this, in order to maintain the respect in the eyes of his son and wife, Arjun decides to make a comeback at the age of 36, but it is not easy at this stage of age. He struggles and tries to regain the fame that has gone out of hand. The story of Jersey revolves around this struggle and goal of Arjun.

After the immense success of 'Kabir Singh' in 2019, Shahid's fans were waiting for 'Jersey'. Finally, Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur starrer film 'Jersey' has been released in theaters on 22 April i.e. today. In the film, you will get to see love, romance, passion and the love of a father towards his son, so if you are planning to watch the film, then first of all read the review of the film.
Acting :
After the success of Kabir Singh, everyone had high hopes from Shahid, which he retained. Shahid's acting in the film is superb. Whatever the character, Shahid always makes him alive with his acting, it was also seen in this film. Yes, there is a glimpse of his Kabir Singh image many times in the film. Overall, he fits perfectly in his character. Pankaj Kapur as coach Madhav Sharma has also done justice to the role. Pankaj Kapoor looks very comfortable. Talking about Mrunal Thakur in the role of Vidya, she has also done a good job. From the character of a South Indian girl to the wife and mother running the house alone, she has lived it well. Ronit Kamra, who became the son of Arjun and Vidya in the film, also did not answer. At such a young age, he looks like an accomplished artist.
Direction :
It was Gowtam Tinnanuri who made the Nani-starrer Jersey and now the responsibility of the remake film was also his head. The direction and cinematography of the film is very good. Gautham Tinnanuri has served the film well to the audience. Anil Mehta's three decades of experience in cinematography is clearly visible. The initial pace of the film seems a bit slow. Although the selection of actors according to the characters is perfect. Gautam has shown every part well in the film, be it cricket, romance or emotions, he has played well with everyone.
Songs :
The songs of the film are superb. They will remain in your mind even after watching the film. The songs of the film are icing on the cake. Songs like 'Mehram' and 'Baliye Re' have already become hits. Both the songs are memorized on everyone's mouth.
Drawbacks of film Jersey :
Although the film is great, but some things stand out in the film like its length. More work could have been done on editing. The first half of the film progresses like a test match, throbbing and boring. The initial pace of the film seems a bit slow, comes in speed in the second half.

There is no doubt that the film is worth watching. You can watch this movie comfortably with family. Yes, if you are going to watch it from the point of view of cricket then this is not the right option for you.
